Black Labrador painting created in honor of a rescue dog fostered by artist, Amy Reges. "Not easily impressed" seems to be his thoughts as this 11 year old dog settled in to a new life. He arrived a cranky old man, but once this dog found stability he turned out to be a sweet, affectionate and very savvy gentleman. He touched our hearts forever - It was a pleasure to help him. And yes, he found the perfect home to live out his days happily. 25% of profits from sales of this print will be donated to Lab Rescue.
About Amy Reges
I love to make a connection with anyone who views my art by touching a shared sentiment. I prefer simplifying and abstracting elements to express a feeling, emotion or moment in time rather than replicating my subject. I have always loved animals, with dogs being particularly special. Bringing out their spirits in art feels like sharing their love. As a self-taught artist, I enjoy working in an array of materials and mediums - acrylic paint on canvas is my current favorite.
