Artist's Description
This lovely old gentleman is a retired Thoroughbred race horse. He is enjoying himself at a nice farm where he takes select riders on trails and through their riding lessons. I chose to put him in this abstract, rustic background with the weave of the canvas showing to add a sense of an easy life. He was kind to strike this pose for me and play along as I snapped reference photos. I think by his expression that he liked the idea of being painted.
